1. Age requirements

Drivers for cars must be 21 years old for car groups A, B, C and 25 years old for other car groups. The driver for the scooters and vespas should be over 18 years old to rent a vehicle from our company. For ATVs/Quads over 300cc and scooters over 300cc tenant must be over 21 years old.

2. Driver’s license/license requirements for scooters, vespas and ATVs:

Drivers for cars must present a Full Driver’s License that needs to be held for a minimum of 1 year before renting a vehicle.

All our scooters, vespas and ATVs need a valid driving license to rent them. Scooter 50cc, B, AM, Scooters up to 110cc A1,A2,A. Scooters or Vespas 125cc, A1,A2,A,AM. Scooters 125cc-300cc, A2 or A. ATVs 200cc-800cc B (for car category).
We accept Original Driver’s License for members of EU countries. For any other country, an INTERNATIONAL driver’s license is required according to Greek Legislation. -European Union and UK citizens need only their national driving license.

3. Minimum rental period

The minimum rental period is 1 day. If drop-off is delayed, you will be charged at 1/5 of the agreed daily rate.

4. Traffic & parking fines

Potential fines resulting from the violation of the Greek Traffic Laws are the renter’s responsibility.

5. Deposit

No Deposit is Required.

6A. Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) policy for cars

Boukari Car rental Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is included in the rental price with a certain amount of 600€ for all car types. This amount will be blocked on a credit card for security. The drivers must return the vehicle in the same condition they received it.

The coverage of all Boukari Car’s vehicles regarding damages against third parties is included in all Contract Prices as it is mandatory by the Greek Law.

If the car needs extensive cleaning, the amount of 50€ may will be charged. Insurance does not cover damages regarding underside, tyres, wheels, roof, interior & glass parts (including windscreen) unless they were caused by a third party in an accident. All damages caused due to driving off-road are not covered, the renter holds full responsibility and will have to bear any towing charges. Fire and theft insurance are included in the price.

6B. Insurance coverage for scooters, vespas, ATVs

Third party insurance (3rd.P.I.) for the vehicles is provided: in case of an accident, our insurance company covers the cost of the damage you have caused to another vehicle.
Insurance Exeptions:

If the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs. For damage caused by driving on unpaved roads. For damages caused to the bottom of the motorcycle, the tires, and rims. For accidents caused by a driver not declared in the lease contract. For accidents for which the lessee has not updated My Moto company and submitted an accident report, as defined by the Greek Legislation, regardless of fault. The hirer is responsible for any damage or theft (partial or total) caused to rented vehicles up to the amount of the market value at the time of accident / theft. The renter must return the vehicle to the rental company in the same good condition as received.
In case of mechanical damage, the renter must immediately notify the rental company.

Limited Insurance Supplement (for bumps or scrapes)
The renter is responsible for parking the vehicle in a safe parking area at all times. Coverage to the vehicle in parking areas in case of scratches or bumps. Renter should contact us immediately in order to make a report.

Traffic violations – Fines:

All fines and administrative penalties shall be born by the renter.
Renter must lock the vehicle whenever it is left unattended.
Any delay (to the due delivery time) of more than 2 hours is charged with one additional rental day.
The renter is not allowed to use the vehicle for racing, wheelies or walks on the sand.
The vehicle may be driven only by the driver and the persons referred to in this tenancy agreement.
The renter is not allowed to take the vehicle outside the island of Corfu.

7. Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) policy for cars

This insurance is with ZERO EXCESS. It covers the tires, wheels and glass parts of the car (includes windscreen), as long as vehicle is driven on asphalt or tarmacked roads and when abiding by the law. It covers any incidental damage caused to the body and to any plastic parts of the vehicle.

Insurance Exeptions:

If you have not been added to the rental agreement as an additional driver. If driving under the age of 21 years. If driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs or speeding. If driving against traffic regulations. If driving off-road. All vehicles must be driven on asphalt or tarmacked roads. If the car is carrying more passengers than the number, it is licensed for. Please note infants count as passengers. If keys are stolen or lost. Theft due to keys being left in the vehicle (negligence). Theft of personal belongings. Interior damages. Insurance does not cover loss or damage to the car keys, locks, vehicle documents, registration plates and use of wrong fuel (Diesel instead of unleaded petrol or vice versa). Damage to the undercarriage of car & tires.

8. Fuel

The Renter is obliged to return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as it has been when collected. In the case of returning the vehicle with less fuel, the renter will be charged with the fuel difference. No refunds apply when returning vehicles with more fuel.

9. Extra equipment

• Baby seat will be charged 3€ per day.
• Booster seat will be charged 2€ per day.
  
• GPS will be charged 6€ per day.

10. Delivery & Collection

Free of Charge at Corfu International Airport & our offices from 08:30 to 22:30.

• Deliveries after these hours are charged (20,00€).
  
• Deliveries to hotels or villas are possible. Just inform us where you will stay. We will answer you directly if the delivery is free or with an extra small cost in case of long distance away from our location.

11. Availability​

Car and scooters models are delivered as planned. However, problems may arise and compel us to supply another vehicle in exceptional cases. In case of breakdown, the company is obliged to replace the vehicle within 24hrs.

12. Way of payment

By cash or debit/credit card.
You pay upon arrival (the whole amount), whatever you prefer. In some instances, mainly for long duration bookings a deposit may be required that can be paid by Credit Card.
CREDIT CARD TRANSACTIONS
Credit card transactions are made in Euro (€).
Please note that we are not able to make any transaction on the renter’s card in any other currency. The currency equivalent shown on the site is according to Greek Bank’s exchange rates and is updated monthly.

13. Cancelation policy

If payment has been made by credit card or bank transfer, up to 48 hours before arrival, then 100% return. From 48 hours onwards, one full day is charged.

14. Across the border rentals or ferrying rentals​

Customers wishing to drive the car out of Corfu must have the advance authorisation from the company. Plus, an extra charge is required road service for the mainland. (Rate varies according to vehicle category).

15. General conditions for scooter, vespa & ATV:

The tenant expressly agrees that our company is not responsible for any incidental or consequential damage suffered by the tenant or third parties during the lease and no claim may be brought against it for higher causes. Lessor company has the right to cancel the rental if ascertains that the tenant is not capable to drive the rental vehicle for any reason. The tenant is not allowed to use the vehicle for racing, wheelies or walks on the sand. The vehicle should be driven only by the driver and the persons referred to in the rental agreement. The tenant is not allowed to take the vehicle outside the island of Corfu. Renter must lock the vehicle whenever it is left unattended. The tenant must have the rental agreement and his driving license with him while driving the vehicle. After rental agreement signing no refund of money is possible. In case of accident or mechanical damage the tenant must immediately notify the lessor company.

16. Rates for car, scooter, vespa & ATV include:

• Replacement of vehicle in case of breakdown.
  
• Helmets for the driver and passengers.
  
• Road map of Corfu.
  
• Unlimited mileage.
